If you sell physical products across India, Shiprocket is the simplest way to handle shipping without negotiating with each courier separately. Manva's Shiprocket integration creates shipments, picks the cheapest courier from your panel, and gives you trackable labels — all without leaving the dashboard.

Why Shiprocket

Shiprocket aggregates 17+ couriers (Delhivery, Blue Dart, DTDC, Xpressbees, Ekart, India Post and more) under one panel. For each order you can:

Pricing is per shipment with no monthly fee on the basic plan, which is what most small businesses need.

Step 1: Sign up for Shiprocket

If you do not have an account:

  1. Go to shiprocket.in
  2. Sign up with your business email and phone
  3. Add your pickup address and KYC documents
  4. Recharge your wallet (a small amount like ₹500 is enough to start)

Account approval is usually same-day.

Step 2: Get your Shiprocket API credentials

  1. Log into the Shiprocket dashboard
  2. Open Settings → API → Configure
  3. Generate a new API user (separate email and password — not your main login)
  4. Copy the API email and API password

The API user is what Manva uses to talk to Shiprocket on your behalf. Keep it separate from your normal login so you can revoke it without affecting daily access.

Step 3: Connect Shiprocket in Manva

From the Manva dashboard:

  1. Open Website → Store settings → Shipping
  2. Toggle Shiprocket on
  3. Paste the API email and API password
  4. Click Connect

Manva pings Shiprocket to confirm credentials and pulls in your pickup addresses. Pick the default pickup address (the one most orders ship from).

Step 4: Set product weights and dimensions

Shiprocket needs accurate weight and dimensions to calculate rates and pick the right courier. Open each product in Website → Products and fill in:

Round up rather than down. A 480 g shipment dispatched as "500 g" never gets reweighed and surprised with a rate change. A 480 g shipment dispatched as "400 g" almost always does.

For products without dimensions, Shiprocket will use a default ("dead weight" = 500 g, 10×10×10 cm), which is rarely the cheapest option.

Step 5: Ship your first order

When a paid order comes in:

  1. Open it in Website → Orders
  2. Click Ship now
  3. Manva sends the order details to Shiprocket and shows you the courier comparison — usually 4–8 options ranked by price
  4. Pick a courier (cheapest is fine for non-urgent items; Blue Dart for time-sensitive)
  5. Click Confirm — Manva creates the shipment, generates the label PDF, and adds the tracking ID to the order

Print the label, stick it on the package, and the courier picks it up at your scheduled pickup slot.

Sharing tracking with the customer

Manva auto-emails the customer the tracking link the moment the shipment is created. They can also check status from the order page on your storefront.

If you have WhatsApp Business connected, Manva can also send the tracking via WhatsApp instead of (or in addition to) email — check Store settings → Notifications.

Handling RTO (return-to-origin)

When a courier brings a package back undelivered:

To reduce RTO going forward:

  1. Turn on OTP-verified COD under Store settings → Payments — buyers confirm a one-time SMS code at checkout
  2. Call high-value orders (₹2,000+) before dispatching — a 30-second confirmation call saves a 1,000-km round trip
  3. Set up address verification in Shiprocket for serial RTO pincodes

Bulk shipping

For days with 20+ orders, the order list has bulk actions:

Common issues and fixes

"Pincode not serviceable" — Some couriers do not deliver to remote pincodes. Try a different courier in the comparison list, or fall back to India Post.

"Insufficient wallet balance" — Recharge your Shiprocket wallet from their dashboard. Manva surfaces the balance under Store settings → Shipping.

Labels not printing correctly — Check your printer is set to "Actual size" not "Fit to page". Most thermal printers default to 4×6 inch labels, which is what Shiprocket generates.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a different aggregator? Shiprocket is the only aggregator currently integrated. We are evaluating others — let support know if you need a specific one.

What about international shipping? Shiprocket has international shipping but Manva's integration is currently India-only. Contact support if international is critical.

Do I have to use Shiprocket? No. You can also choose flat-rate or free shipping in Store settings, and handle dispatch outside Manva.

A working shipping setup is the difference between an order and a delivered order. Shiprocket plus Manva turns the per-order overhead from 10 minutes into 30 seconds, which is the difference between handling 5 orders a day and handling 50.
